This is a single guitar string plucked with a pick directly at the headstock, that means between the tuners and the nut. There the string is very short and tight, resulting in a high, almost piano-like tone. Also, since there is no sound box, the tone is rather quiet. I used this for a sampler and i liked the sound of it. This is the raw recording. If you want to use it in a sampler too, i recommend adding some eq, reverb and maybe some delay. It is not perfectly in tune though, the closest note is a#. You might tweak the tuning a little bit when using it in combination with other tuned instruments. Microphone: akg perception 120post-processing: none.

This is a flageolett sound played with plectrum on a steel-stringed acoustic guitar. I used this sound for coursera course "audio processing for music applications".

This is a simple slide over the whole fretboard of my electric guitar, starting at e on the low e-string.

Recorded with zoom h1 near the strings while i makes a drone sound with the ebow. Guitar is a jazzmaster. No amplifier used.

This is kind of neat. . . . A g-chord played on my 12-string, then looped several times so it sounds like it is holding for a long time.

Sound is a bit of prepared guitar. . . The strings had some "twistie-ties" on them, and they were scraped/bowed with a screw driver near the bridge. Guitar was processed with delay, and i believe maybe some other effects. Sounds, at times, similar to a droning sitar.
